Sydney Boat Show

Jun 3, 2021 | Boatshows & Events

We love Boat Show Season!  After a successful and fun Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show last month, we are set to do it all over again at the Sydney Festival of Boating!

Proudly presented by the Boating Industry Association Ltd, this new format, COVID-Safe event, will be held at the International Convention Centre between the 29th of July and the 1st of August 2021. Occupying the upper-level halls of the convention centre and the undercover exhibitor displays on the Event Deck, the festival will also accommodate larger on-water displays and feature festival activations and displays with a marina in Cockle Bay and the promenade leading to Tumbalong Park.

The BIA assures us they are looking forward to resuming the Sydney International Boat Show in 2022, the southern hemisphere’s largest and most comprehensive boating show, so stay tuned as we wait with bated breath to hear dates!

In the meantime, we can rest assured knowing that this festival is hitting all the Covid Safe marks!

The Sydney Festival of Boating states, “We are operating in a COVID-Safe way, so tickets will need to be purchased in advance before you enter the festival. Tickets will be available to purchase via this website from the 1st of July 2021. No tickets will be available at the gate.”

Tickets can be purchased from their website from the 1st of July with prices as follows:

Adult: $15.00

Free entry for children 5 years and under

Child (6 – 17 years): $5.00

Family 2 adults and 3 children (6 – 17 years of age): $35.00

Seniors and Pensioners: $12.00

Adult (entry after 3 pm): $10.00

All ticket prices include GST.

The boat show will be held over four spectacular days from the 29th of July -1 August and be open from 10-8 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 10-5 pm Sunday at ICC Sydney, and Cockle Bay Marina, Darling Harbour, plus Festival Boulevard!

Ready for some glitz and glamour? You can find it down in Cockle Bay marina with the larger in-water boat displays, while the kids will love one boat in particular, with a real pirate ship and pirates onboard!

For the fishermen among us, you will be in awe of some of the top anglers participating in the annual Berkeley Super Series Fishing Competition at the official weigh-in just across the bay (near Harbourside). Festival Boulevard (in front of Tumbalong Park) will be where you can find all the action with a veritable mix of activities in Paddle, Power & Sail.

Want more? How about Australia’s Largest Mobile Pool? Measuring 35m long and 20m wide, this purpose-built ‘Boating Safety Pool’ is proudly presented by WaterWorld Central and is open to all Festival ticket holders. You can try out the latest in Stand-up Paddle Boards, Fishing Kayaks or let the kids jump aboard one of the safe Bumper-Boats, all supervised by on-duty lifeguards.

Speaking of safety, head to Hall Stand 600, where you will find the Boating Safety Zone. This safety dedicated zone will feature not-for-profit water safety organisations and a range of government regulators, all keen to chat about how we can ensure every day on the water is a safe one!

With so much to do and see, including heaps of fun entertainment roving the Boulevard, food, drink, and tunes played by DJs from Bondi Beach Radio, you don’t want to miss this year’s Boating Festival!
