Portable Floating Boat Lift
Launch level in just 30 seconds with the Floatlift, a free-floating boat lift manufactured by Sunstream.
How long does it take currently you to get out on the water?
An hour to prep and load your trailer?
Forty minutes to drive to the boat ramp?
A day’s notice to have your vessel retrieved from dry-stack storage?Â
The Floatlift’s marine-grade hydraulic system lets you launch and dock in just 30 seconds.
That means more time for family, fishing, and everything in between.
Lift or lower in as little as 30 seconds with a remote-operated hydraulic system.
Dry-dock anywhere with a freestanding, solar-powered boat lift.
Unsinkable foam-filled floats and GravityLock™ keep your vessel stable – even in choppy water.
Most dry docks have limitations:
They need AC power.
They’re unsuitable for marinas.
They’re fixed in a single location.
But the Floatlift was engineered to be different – a free-floating boat lift with integrated solar power, ideal for almost anywhere, including swing moorings and shallow water.
Dry-docking your vessel means you don’t have to spend time applying and stripping antifoul or towing your vessel to the water.
That equals more time out on the water for you and your loved ones.
You’ll also be able to get a higher price when you sell a dry-docked vessel – more funds for your next adventure.
Both ablative and hard antifouls can affect your vessel’s performance, increasing drag and fuel consumption.
Antifoul also doesn’t prevent salt damage, growth on your motors and props, or scrapes and bumps from other boats – which can all be avoided through dry-docking.
Most antifouls are biocidal, which means they work by poisoning barnacles, algae, and other marine growth.
Over time, that poison leaches into the surrounding water, which can kill sea life (including fish) and cause birth defects.
Some antifoul components, like TBT, are so toxic that they’ve been banned in Australia.
Wet-slipping your vessel comes at a cost.
To prevent marine growth, your hull needs to be painted with antifoul, which immediately adds friction.
Over time, that friction gets progressively worse, leading to higher fuel consumption and less power.
The solution: a dry dock like the Floatlift.
Enjoy all the benefits of your own slip – but with no growth, no antifoul, and no loss of on-water performance.

Yes, you can walk on the Floatlift. The foam-filled floats sit on either side of the lift system and are broad enough to sit and stand on. Keep in mind that, like any wet surface, the Floatlift can become slippery; hold onto your vessel or the guidance columns for extra support.
Yes, you can flush your motors in the Floatlift once it’s elevated.
The Floatlift is built for all-weather durability, but it still has moving parts that require regular maintenance. Book a service every 12 months to keep your Floatlift operating smoothly.
It’s also a good idea to clean the floats at around the same frequency. Use a heavy bristle brush for light algal growth and a scraper for heavier biofouling (such as barnacles). Â
If one or both sides of your FloatLift aren’t moving, the cause could be degraded or low hydraulic fluid. Check the fluid reservoir; if there’s an appropriate level of fluid, check the hoses leading to the pump for leaks and/or kinks.
For help, get in touch with us. We’ll provide over-the-phone troubleshooting and, if appropriate, dispatch a field technician to repair your Floatlift.
Yes, your Floatlift can be insured. Most insurers can include your Floatlift in your vessel’s insurance policy.
A Floatlift makes it simple to dry-dock in almost any location.
