More Time Behind the Tiller

You didn’t buy your boat to spend time sanding off antifoul.

Or loading it onto a trailer.

Or waiting for the boat ramp queue to clear.

The SeaPen puts you back where you belong: on deck, out there, doing the things you love most.

Launch and dock with a button click – and never worry about biofouling or bottom paint again.

Better boating is that simple.

Dock Dry. Boat Better.

Upgrading to a floating dock like the SeaPen just makes sense.

Boat being driven into a SeaPen dry docking system

Easier

Say no to boat ramp queues and antifoul headaches.

Launch directly from your berth with one button push – the simplest way to get out on the water.

Healthier

Antifoul is a marine-grade pesticide so toxic that the government has issued warnings about it.

Dry docking is healthier for you, your family, and the waterways you love.

Faster

Antifoul adds drag to your hull, which gets worse as it degrades.

An antifoul-free hull means you’ll perform better in the water (and save on fuel).

Max Roberts Float Brick

‘Marty from Dockpro installed my new dry dock/float bricks a few weeks ago.

I am really happy how it turned out, especially given my funky installation location. Craig from the sales team helped design the dock and install design, which Marty expertly installed.

Dock works really well with a heavy boat. The dock seems really well made and I expect will last many years.’

Clean Below. Good to Go.

If you want to travel between council areas in New Zealand, you need a clean hull.

The simplest option: store your vessel on a dry dock like the SeaPen.

With a proprietary rope mesh system that keeps your hull away from the water, biofouling won’t get the chance to grow.

That makes complying with biosecurity rules much, much easier – especially when haul-out facilities get busy ahead of summer.

Rod Cassidy

‘Thank you very much for organizing the dock and the box. I also appreciate your recommendation on the solar winch system.

I used the boat on Saturday and Monday, and it was quick and effortless to launch and retrieve. I’m very happy with it!’

For Anything on the Water

Skip the Antifoul

Store your vessel on a SeaPen for faster, easier access. By keeping your hull out of the water, you get all the benefits of in-water docking – without toxic antifoul.

Drive On. Drive Off.

Forget the boat ramp headaches. Drive your PWC onto your FloatBricks dock, keep it dry, then push off to launch instead – no trailers or traffic involved.

The average boat owner uses their vessel 11 times a year when it’s on a trailer – but 20 times a year when it’s docked on a SeaPen.

That’s an 81% increase in time on the water.

New Zealand Floating Docks FAQs

How long does the SeaPen last?

The SeaPen doesn’t have a fixed lifespan. Both its frame and skin are built for durability, and, with regular servicing, it can support your vessel for upwards of a decade. Many of our customers’ SeaPens have been in service for over 15 years.

Any components that fail over time due to wear and tear can be individually replaced by one of our technicians. Keep in mind, though, that your SeaPen is just like your car or boat. It’s built for durability, but it still needs annual servicing to perform at its best (and preserve your warranty).

Make sure you book a maintenance service every 12 months.

Can I walk all the way around a SeaPen?

Yes, you can walk on all sides of a SeaPen. You can even add an anti-slip aluminium walkway to its polyethylene frame – ideal for doing maintenance work on your vessel.

What happens to a floating dock if there’s a storm?

Nothing. As long as your SeaPen has power, its bilge pump will keep running, removing water from around your boat’s hull. If it does lose power, the back gate will remain shut by default, but can be manually opened if you need to access your vessel. And, because your SeaPen floats, you generally don’t need to worry about your boat being washed off by rising water levels.

(Note: strong winds and large waves can still damage your vessel, in the same way that they would if it was sitting in the water. Even the best floating docks aren’t a defence against extreme weather.)

Will my marina permit a SeaPen?

It depends on your marina. Most New Zealand marinas don’t have any problem with SeaPens – they’re free-floating structures that are simply tied off in the same way that a boat is. If you aren’t sure, just ask your marina for written confirmation.

(Keep in mind that your berth will need power for a SeaPen to work. If it doesn’t, a FloatLift or a FloatBrick drive-on dock might be a better option.)
